McCormick Century
W. F. McCormick has scored UO points In a Now Zealand first-class Rugby season for the third consecutive year and the fourth time all told.
He reached his century with the first six of the 14 points ho scored for Canterbury against Buller on Saturday,
He has now scored UO points In New Zealand and, with the pointe ha scored for the All Blacks on tour, has a grand total of 210. The record of points for a calendar year Is 241 by D. B. Clarke In 1940. Clarke also scored 253 In 1957 and 204 In 1943. H. Wllllment scored 240 In all games last year and 213 the previous season, while R. A. Jarden scored exactly 200 In 1955. McCormick had a total of 242 last year and could surEass this figure In Canterury’s remaining games, against Southland and Wellington.
