Poison Lost
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Sept. 15. A jar of cyanide poison is missing from a Taieri farm. The cyanide was lost on Saturday afternoon from the property of Mr D. C. Craig, of Guys Road, Janefield, near Mosgiel. Mr Craig placed the amber jar on his trailer before he went into his house for some matches. When he returned a few minutes later it was missing.
He immediately notified the Mosgiel police and a search was made. Later neighbours joined to look for the poison and a .further search was made today, but the poison was nof found. The cyanide was in a lib jar with a screw top. The jar was about a third full. It is clearly labelled “cyanide poison.” The police said that even a teaspoon of it could do considerable damage.
