STOREROOM DAMAGED
Burglars may have started a fire which caused severe damage to a storeroom at the factory of Naylor Wilson, Ltd, confectionery manufacturers, at 28 Mowbray Street, Waltham, early on Saturday evening.
Firemen found that the premises were insecure and detectives are investigating. Units from the Sydenham and Central Stations answered a call received at 5.15 p.m. The fire was in a converted house and the main part of the factory was not damaged. The alarm was given by a passer-by. Firemen were at the scene for one hour and a half.
