Maoris v. Pakehas

The Pomare Challenge Trophy will be at stake for the first time when the Canterbury Maoris Rugby league team meets the Pakehas at the Show Grounds tomorrow.

The match should provide attractive football, most of the players having representative experience. Several individual duals should also be most interesting: the Kiwi centre, S. Dunn, will be marking B. Williams, who replaced him in the Canterbury team: J. L. White, the Canterbury captain, will be confronted by the highlypromising loose forward, R. S. Walker.

M. H. Mohi and J. M. Toki, also, will have the opportunity to prove their worth against players who won provincial selection in their stead.
