Meeting Of Creditors
! A textile worker, who has ! been self-employed as a drainI layer, Ernest William Stewart, 1 aged 25, of 56 Rochester i Street, yesterday appeared be- ! fore a meeting of creditors. A quorum was formed but the meeting before the Official ! Assignee (Mr J. B. I. Curran) did not adopt any resolutions and the meeting was closed. Mr Stewart said that his only possessions of value were a cleaning-tape for cleaning out drams and a .303 rifle. His debts to unsecured creditors were $3191 and his deficiencies were $3191. He gave as his reasons for bankruptcy, that he had run out of work in his pipe-laying work, and he also owed money for materials.
