FIRESTONE JOB
Mr J. W. Dickinson, of Akron, Ohio, the world headquarters of the Firestone group, has taken up the position of director of sales of the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company of New Zealand, Ltd. He has succeeded Mr R. L. Steinmetz, who has returned to Akron. Akron is Mr Dickson’s home town and he graduated B.Sc. from the university there before joining the Firestone organisation in which he has had wide international experience.
He served in Venezuela before returning to Akron in 1960, and later went to Bangkok to assist in the establishment of the Thailand factory.
