Better Car Radio

A new car radio now available in New Zealand has a “signal seeker” which makes changing stations even easier than with a push-button radio.

A bar is sited between the normal controls, and when it is pressed the radio tuner seeks out the next strong signal and locks on to it. A specific station can be selected by releasing the bar when the indicator needle reaches the the right position on the dial.

A remote control button which does the same job as the signal-seeker bar can be attached to the steering column or dash. The radio costs from $B5 to $95, depending on the model.

THE RELIANT Car Company is now the second-big-gest British-owned car manufacturer, and is the largest user of fibreglass in the European motor industry.
