RISE FOR SHEARERS
(N.Z. Pre,, Association) WANGANUI, Sept 11. Pay rates for general shearing had been Increased by 10 per cent the secretary of the Workers’ Union (Mr J. W. Sylvester, of Fellding) said today after negotiations with Federated Farmers. Mr Sylvester said Federated Farmers had agreed to a 5 per cent increase in the rates in addition to the 5 per cent general wage order. However, rates for shearing lambs will be down 10 per cent
