The Zambian Government has refused permission for the country’s golf team to take part in the Eisenhower Cup tournament in Melbourne next month, because South Africa is competing. Associated Press reported. The Zambian Golf Union chairman, Mr A. Mac Lean, said the team was bitterly disappointed. “As South Africa will be competing in most of the world’s major tournaments, it looks as though our golfers will have nowhere to play,” he said.
