University Parking
Sir, —Remembering Mr J. Oakley’s criticism of Ministry of Works planning in Creyke Road, I sincerely hope that intelligent planning for parking at the new School of Forestry will not include in a year or so, Clyde Road for overflow parking. There is surely adequate land for years to come; so let parking space be established now and so avoid the appalling situation in Creyke Road. Clyde Road is a fast through-traffic road; and backing out, especially for women drivers, would
be extremely hazardous if the road were to be packed with cars.—Yours, etc., G. A. REED. September 11, 1968.
