OBJECTION TO SIGNS
Board Reserves Decision
The Town and Country Planning Appeal Board yesterday reserved decision on an objection to the erection of signs at each end of an easement between Randolph Street and Aidwins Road. Mrs J. Wright objected to the signs which the Christchurch City Council had authorised Randolph Nurseries to erect at each end of the easement, which gives access to the properties of both parties.
Randolph Nurseries intend to put up signs advertising their nursery and indicate entry at Aidwins Road and exit at Randolph Street. Mrs Wright objected to the council’s approval on the grounds that the driveway should be sealed because of dust and loose gravel, and that caution should be written on the signs. Miss L. M. Croft appeared for the Christchurch City Council and Mr J. H. M. Dawson for Mrs Wright.
