Applicants should hold a degree in Civil Engineering and have a minimum of 10 years applicable experience since graduating. Desirable age 35-45 years. At the completion of the project the appointee will have the opportunity either to become the Manager of a Branch Office in South-East Asia or to return to a suitable position within the practice in Australia. The opportunity also exists for the appointee to advance to Principal status. CIVIL ENGINEERS BRANCH OFFICE MANAGERS $lO,OOO TO $16,000 In New Guinea, South-East Asia or Northern Australia. Applicants should have a University degree in Civil Engineering and experience in a wide range of civil engineering works. They should have proven ability in administration and control of staff and a keen interest in client liaison and business promotion. Applicants may be married but in most areas secondary schooling facilities are inadequate. These are senior appointments and commensurate salaries, allowances and benefits will be paid. SURVEYORS CIVIL ENGINEERING NEW GUINEA A number of vacancies exist for experienced Engineering Surveyors to undertake Survey of Roads, Bridges and other Civil Engineering Work in New Guinea. Professional qualifications would be an advantage. Salary allowances and bonus to $BOOO per annum. Taxation in New Guinea is less that half that in New Zealand. Appointments are for two years with option of extension or transfer to an Australian office of the Annual leave of 5 weeks may be taken In Australia after one year’s service.
