Soccer Club Loses Members
A drop in membership of 82, compared with an increase the year before of 86, was reported by the president, Mr H. R. Hicks, at the annual meeting of the Canterbury Soccer Supporters’ Club.
Mr Hicks said membership was 178 but that the club’s target of 500 could still be reached if each member actively sought new members. The meeting agreed to the appointment of a membership secretary, and Mr A. H. C. McDonald was appointed. The accounts showed a bank balance to $3lO.
Messrs Hicks, F. T. H. Bell and E. W. Bryant were reelected president, treasurer and secretary, respectively. The other members of the committee are Messrs McDonald, J. Reid, B. Zeff, F. J. H. Haydon. E. Douglas, J. Jones, H. Litolff, K. Bradley, S. Ovenden and H. Selkirk.
Messrs N. R. Dixon, R. Atherton and S. Brooks resigned from the committee.
