HORSE TRAFFIC
A request for the removal of large boulders from roadsides as a consideration for horse riders was received from a Swannanoa resident by the Eyre County Council. “I thought we had advanced from the horse and buggy days,” said Cr C. H. Tyson. “Horses are not registered and don’t pay road tax, so they shouldn’t be allowed on the road,” said Cr V. R. Giles. “Roadsides are the responsibility of the adjoining occupier,” said Cr J. E. Mannering. The council agreed to note the request.
