Silver Valley Coal To Be Assessed
Experts from Japanese steel mills and from Kane-matsu-Gosho will make a detailed assessment of Silver Valley Minerals’ coal deposit at Swansea, near Newcastle, New South Wales, in September and October, according to the chairman of KanematsuGosho (Australia) Pty, Ltd (Mr C. Hope). Mr Hope said in Sydney his group had been negotiating with Silver Valley since February as it appeared from core tests that the coking coal was suitable for Japanese mills as well as other overseas buyers.
