(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 1.
A leader of the third national Black Power conference which opened in Philadelphia today said that implementing Blade Power was the most important work in the world.
The Philadelphia gathering | has brought together representatives of 600 organisations, some of them the most militant in America. Wearing a colourful African robe, the Rev. Nathan Wright, of Newark, New Jersey, told a group of white reporters at a street-corner news conference that the white society would not survive unless blacks were allowed to become part of it.! “The mind would have to be psychotic to think BlackPower anything but positive." Dr Wright said. “It is the ! most sociological, theological. ; philosophical concept in his- i tory. It brings into focus our identity, our unique and glorious blackness, and it answers for what purpose we were created.”
