Record For Goings
A New Zealand Rugby record was created when B. L. Going, the youngest of three North Auckland brothers, replaced O. G. Stephens late in the second half of the inter-island match on Saturday.
His appearance for the North Island made it the first time that three brothers had represented an island team. His brothers, S. M. and K. T. Going, were In the same team.
Three brothers, the Brownlies and the Nicholls, have played for New Zealand, but L. Brownlie and H. G. Nicholls did not emulate their famous ■ brothers in playing for the North Island.
