The salary scales and other conditions of service for staff recruited from overseas are: Salary scales: Senior lecturer. 851220 x 40-1300/- p.m.; lecturer, SS7SO x 35-960/1030 X 35-1100 X 40-1380/-pm.; assistant lecturer. 55605 x 25-705/- p.m. (SSI equals 2s 8.7 d approximately, at present). The point of entry will depend on qualifications and merit. Variable allowance: 35 per cent of salary subject to a maximum of BSISO/- p.m. tor a single officer, SS2BO/- p.m. for a married officer, and SS4OO I- p.m. for an officer with dependent child/ children. Overseas allowance: 88200/- p.m. for all staff recruited from overseas. Provldent fund: Contributions are payable at the rate of 5 per cent of basic salary from a staff member and 15 per cent from the polytechnic.
