Obituary

MR C. J. G. GOODE Mr Cyril Joseph Goodman Goode, who died recently at the age of 65, had many civic interests. Born at Marshland, of a Methodist family, he was a keen churchman all his life and a member of the choir of the East Belt Methodist Church. For more than 30 years he was associated with the Norwich Union insurance societies. He was a member of the Christchurch Rugby Football Club and of the Canterbury Aero Club. Through his interest in music he became a president of the Christchurch Competitions Society. He was honoured by the Returned Services’ Association with honorary membership and with an address for his services, a certificate of merit was awarded to him by the New Zealand Home Servicemen's Association.

Mr Goode is survived by his wife and five children.
