Prices Mainly Unchanged (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 30. Trading was again quiet for all commodities on Smithfield market this week, the Meat Board reports. Prices for New Zealand lamb remained largely unchanged. The main grade (prime 29/361b) was quoted at 28d to 28jd per lb, the same as last week. Ewe mutton was quoted at 13d to 14d per lb. The main grade of New Zealand hogget (49/561b) was quoted at 18d per lb, and wethers at 15d to 15jd per lb. Price Range Quotations for New Zealand lamb were:—

F.A.Q.— 281 b and under 255-28 —} 29 to 361 b . . 26-27 n.c. Omega—281b and under 25-251 —1 29 to 361 b .. 24-25 +1 Heavy pitchings of imported beef caused a reduced demand, and New Zealand boneless beef cleared slowly at slightly reduced prices, which ranged as follows:

The directors of Broken Hill South, Ltd. announce a renounceable rights offer of approximately 6,112,500 50c shares to stockholders registered on September 25. ■The shares will be offered on a one for four basis at a total price of 250 c; entitlements to fractional parts of shares will be disregarded.
