Y.M.C.A. Boys’ Tournament
The annual Y.M.C.A. older boys’ tournament will begin in Christchurch today. Teams from Gisborne, Wanganui. New Plymouth (2), Palmerston North (2), Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch (2) and Invercargill will compete in the five-day tournament. Sports to be contested are gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, and table tennis. There will be competitions In speech making and Bible reading. The tournament is intended not only to create competition between the various centres, but to develop friendship and good will among the participants. >
