Escapers Caught

SYDNEY, Aug. 29.

Detectives crashed into a house here early today and recaptured two pyjama-clad convicts who had escaped from Sydney’s maximum security Parramatta Gaol five days ago. Riot police armed with Armalite rifles, shotguns and tear-gas stood ready during the raid.

The escapers are William Treacy, aged 22, and Allan Edward Douglass, aged 22. Arrested with them—and later charged with assisting the escapers—were Treacy’s attractive 19-year-old wife. Michelle, another woman, and a man.

The Treacy’s flve-month-old son, Robbie, was found asleep in a cot in'the house.
