WELLINGTON, August 29. The Government would give sympathetic consideration to inquiries from Czechoslovak nationals wanting to settle in New Zealand, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said today. He was commenting on a statement today that Australia would give every assistance to Czechoslovak refugees.

Mr Holyoake said: “We have had no indication that any major refugee problem is likely to arise and any individual inquiries will be considered on their merits.”
