INVERCARGILL. Capasco will be a firm first choice for the President’s Handicap, first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Eastern Southland Hunt meeting at Gore tomorrow

The issue is much more open in the second leg, the Mande viile Handicap, in which Mr Southland, Yipp and Fond Du Lac will be a likely trio. The feature events on the card are the Wayte Memorial Steeplechase for amateur riders and the Eastern Southland Steeplechase, which has drawn an interesting field of well performed cross-country horses. The weather has remained fine and the track will be firm. Selections:—
