First Two Cars From Wahine
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 29. Two cars were taken out of the vehicle deck of the sunken ferry Wahine early this afternoon—as an experiment. The major job of removing the rest will not begin until next week. A salvage company spokesman said that the two vehicles were being stored on the hull of the Wahine. He could not state, at this stage, their condition. To reach the cars, salvage workers started cutting away a large hole in the vessel early today.
