(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. P. Kelly, of Palmerston North, who had established himself as the leader of the schoolboy chess tournament being played in Dunedin when he won his adjourned game against R. Waayman (Whakatane High School) yesterday morning, surprisingly lost on time to R. Chaplin (Christchurch Boys’ High School) in the afternoon. The leaders after five rounds are; E. Bure, P. Garbutt 4 points, R. Waayman 3i, P. Kelly 3).
