Swimmer Beats Own Record

The Californian swimmer. Miss D Meyer, aged 16, broke her own world record in the 800-metre freestyle event today during trials for the United States women’s Olympic swimming team. Miss Meyer was timed at 9:10.4 in the event, shaving six seconds from the 9:16.4 mark she set only yesterday morning, which also had beaten her pending world record of 9:17.0.
