AUCKLAND, August 25.
Boosted by a tail wind of 186 miles an hour, an Air New Zealand DCB made what is believed to be a record crossing of the Tasman yesterday—in 2hr 2min—from Sydney to Auckland. The aircraft, which carried 23 passengers, touched speeds of 725 miles an hour.
