Narrow miss
D. C. Leary (Albion) just failed in his attempt to score 100 points in the Christchurch Rugby competition. He scored five points in the last game against Marist on Saturday to make his total 97, but he crossed the line for a try in the dying stages of the match and was called back for a forward pass. He kicked 27 penalties, two dropped goals, and converted five of Albion's 11 tries during the season.
