Twenty of the crew of a Greek freighter were rescued by Communist Chinese after the ship had sunk off the South China coast last week, it was reported in Hong Kong today. The 7275-ton Captain G. had been feared lost with all 34 hands after she had sent out a distress signal while in the path of the typhoon which swept over the Hong Kong area on Wednesday.
A company spokesman said that, according to information received by telephone from the China Ocean Shipping Company, the survivors, including the captain, had been taken to Canton.
