N.Z. WOMAN IN HAT PARADE
A New Zealander, Mrs Ainslie Reid, was one of the models for a hat parade organised by the Royal Australian Air Force Women's Association in Melbourne recently.
Mrs Reid is the wife of Squadron Leader M. D. Reid, of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, who is defence liaison officer in Melbourne. The couple come from Te Rapa. More than 100 guests attended the parade, which was a curtain-raiser to the forthcoming “Battle of Britain Dinner Ball” to be held in September. Proceeds from the ball go to the Association’s Educational Patriotic Fund, for the education of children of deceased and incapacitated air force personnel, which gives assistance to primary, secondary and university levels where necessary.
