Temptation To Children
Sir, —I do not think it is right to have sweets on low shelves near the counter where you pay, so that little children can reach up and take while you are paying for the groceries. This is usually found in supermarkets and some other big grocery stores. I have many times had to buy what the children pick up, and at times I have not been able to afford it. This is teaching the children to take what they want when they want, which I do not think is right.—Yours, etc., BE FAIR. August 26, 1968.
