(New Zealand Press Association)

WELLINGTON, August 26.

The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) released tonight the names of 11 New Zealanders believed to be in Czechoslovakia.

They are Anthony William Smale, an ice skater with an American group; Dr and Mrs J. G. Croll, who are on a camping holiday; Mr and Mrs Gary Owen; Mr and Mrs Keith Hoy; Mr and Mrs Keith Turner, reported to be touring Europe and attending motor rallies; and Mr and Mrs B. W. Collins, who are attending the geological conference in Prague.

Mr Holyoake, who could give no other details, said two other couples were also believed to be in Czechoslovakia but the External Affairs Department had not yet been able to reach relatives Eighteen New Zealanders

are believed to be still in Czechoslovakia but there are no reports of any New Zealanders being injured in the sporadic fighting. Mr Holyoake said there was no report of New Zealanders being held by Soviet or Czechoslovakian authorities. Mr Holyoake said the External Affairs Department was advising relatives as soon as New Zealand travellers were located.

A Hamilton architect, Mr L. R. Clapp, is believed to be safe somewhere between Iran and Hong Kong, after leaving Czechoslovakia only hours before the Russian troops entered.
