Czechs Stop Train
(H.ZP.A-Reuter— Copyright) VIENNA, Aug. 25. Defiant Czechoslovak railway workers today finally foiled a Soviet attempt to bring to Prague a train packed with sophisticated equipment to jam the country’s clandestine radio stations. Free Prague Radio reported It said that the train, which had been halted repeatedly in the last three days, had been stopped by railway workers at Lysa Nad Labem, 50 miles from Prague. Russian troops had started loading the jamming equipment into helicopters to fly it into the capital, the radio said.
Tan jug news agency reported in Belgrade that the train had been shunted into a siding to let some goods trains pass through a local station. These trains were then derailed in the statinn. blocking the route to Prague, the agency said.
