OBITUARY
Mr G. Hutter (NZ. Press Attoeiatlon) AUCKLAND. A former sports announcer, whore voice war familiar to thousands of New Zealand radio listeners, Mr Gordon Hutter, has died in Auckland, aged 87, Mr Hutter for many years broadcast commentaries of racing, wrestling. Rugby, and boxing in Auckland. He later was employed as a stipendiary steward by the New Zealand Trotting Conference until he wont to Australia to become a stipendiary steward for the Western Australia Trotting Association.
He returned to Auckland eight years ago and took a prominent interest In pony Olub affairs.
He is survived by hi* wife.
New Position For Behms I. M. Bshrns, a son ot th* prominent Chertsey trainer, J. L. Behrne, has accepted th* position of prlvat* trslnor and stud groom to Mr D. B. Grantham. of Normanby. Mr Grantham recently gave up training. As well as a string of eight horses he intends to race, he has th* Ameriean-bred stallion, Emory Hanover, a son of Tar Heel with a record of Imin B* S-Bsec. He is the first Amsrlcan horse to do stud duty in the Taranaki area. Behrne has In recent yeare been associated with his father's team. Among the winners he drove last season was Cardinal King in th* *4lOO Ollivier Handicap at the last New Zealand Cup meeting.
