Now permanently domiciled at his Karamea Lodge Stud, at Castle HiD. near Sydney. Mr Simpson has 27 sires in Australia and 10 at the stud in New Zealand, and with odd exceptions all are American-bred. He has outdistanced *H other standardbred breeders in Australia and New Zealand and has also transferred the majority of his sires to Australia Mr Simpson first earoe into the trotting stud business in New Zealand by importing a number of Italian-bred sires, I most of which were of American breeding, at a time I when there was a restriction 1 on the importing of American 1 sires to this country. They include 27 in Australia, standing in Victoria, New South Wales. Queensland, and Western Australia.

In Victoria he has Diek Adios. which recently returned after four seasons at the stud in Southland, and whose 8350 fee is one of the highest of any horse in Australia.

Mr Simpson also has th* Adios horse. Thor Hanover drain 57 4-ssec). which stands at a fee of S3OO. and the Tar Heel horse, Trainer Hanover dmin 59 2-ssec). Morris Ede (2min 1 l-ssec). Thunder On, Gay Reveler, Intangible, Lucky Hanover and Good Report. all Ameriean-bred, are others standing in Victoria. All were at the stud in New Zealand for a time.
