This job will run from September this year until September of next year. Applicants must be prepared to find their own accommodation or alternatively to board in company camp erected along the route of the pipeline. They must be prepared to work long hours on a six-day week basis and be prepared to work in rugged outdoor conditions.

The class of welding requires a high degree of skill and speed. Applicants must have had some basic knowledge of welding and preference will be given to those familiar with stovepipe or CO2 welding techniques. Applicants will be given an aptitude test outside of their normal working hours and if they prove satisfactory they will have to be prepared to enter into a bond guaranteeing employment with the company for a certain period. They will then be given an intensive course of instruction in pipeline welding. Qualifications in this course will ensure the applicant of earning good money on this job and in future employment.
