NELSON, Aug. 25.
The minute the New Zealand Dairy Board negotiated a more favourable freight rate with a foreign shipping line, the United Kingdom would reduce New Zealand’s dairy quotas on her market, according to the chairman of the Apple and Pear Board (Mr S. D. Sinclair) speaking in Nelson on Saturday. He was speaking to the Nelson provincial conference of the Fruitgrowers’ Federation. “The same could apply to us in the fruit industry,” he said.
