Christchurch City, the new leader of the southern league, first division, and now slight favourite for the $5OO first prise, has achieved a fantastic attack-defence record In its last seven matches.
Since July 6, City his scored 54 goals and conceded only one. The last seven game* have given the club wins of 2-0, 8-1, 10-0, 13-0, 64), 9-0 and 641. The hectic burst of scoring and the resolute defence have given City a lead over Rangers on goal average—a factor which might yet decide the soecer championship next Saturday.
