WISDEN CUP WON BY AUCKLAND

DUNEDIN. Scoring was even in the early stages of the final of the 1968 Wisden Cup badminton matches between Auckland and Wellington in Dunedin last night, but Auckland beat Wellington, nine matches to seven.
This is the first time two North Island teams have contested the final of this event as it was originally a North Island-South Island fixture.
Results (Auckland names Br Men’s Singles.—W. Johns lost to J. Compton, 3-15, 3-15; B. Hall lost to M. Stossel, 15-10, 2-15, 7-15; D. Stuart beat F. Coetzer. 17-14, 15-2; J. Rowe beat R.
