Town Milk Industry
Sir, —In reply to “Justice,” the town milk industry is one on its own. There is no comparison in relation to butterfat or cheese production, which is a seasonal affair, and there should never have been any relationship to their market value. Second, the increase of 5 per cent to the wage order and the 6 per cent drop in town milk price should be squarely placed on the consumers, as I make the difference 11 per cent to the producer. As to the remarks about below-standard milk, if “Justice” wishes he may make an appointment with me and I will gladly educate him on the right lines, as evidence is at hand.—Yours, etc., F. W. FIECKEN. August 26, 1968.
