Yaldhurst Rd Speed Limit
The Minister of Transport (Mr Gordon) was asked to approve a 30-mile-an-hour zone to replace the limited speed zone in Yaldhurst Road between Racecourse Road and Russley Road when Waimairi and Paparua county council representatives met him in Christchurch on. Friday “The Minister was sympathetic to our request,” said the Waimairi chairman (Mr D. B. Rich), who, with Paparua’s chairman (Mr D. H. Warren), made the request. Residents, school committees, and the Metropolitan Road Safety Committee have asked for a limit of 30 miles an hpur, The Minister said he would seek the views of the Automobile Association (Canterbury). Both councils will ask the association for its support
