NEW GOLF COURSE
Club To Be Formed
Negotiations were well under way towards obtaining a satisfactory lease from the North Canterbury Catchment Board for an area of 300 acres of land suitable for a 36-hole golf course, the president of the Canterbury Provincial Golf Association (Mr S G. After several suggestions, the meeting decided that the proposed name of the new club should be the Canterbury Golf Club Inc. The committee members are Messrs Burgess, M. J. McNally. W. R. Wright, 1 L. Wright, J. Hill, R. C. Sweet G. B. Wilson, R. H. Bradley, A W. Watts, G. W. A. Green (treasurer), L. C. Lindley (secretary), J. Brooker and Mrs B. Crocker.
