Special Races At Trials
The New Zealand Trotting Conference recently amended regulations governing trial and matinee meetings ev that a race restricted to probationary honemen be Included in every programme of six races or more.
In the event of inaufficient probationary drivers being available, open honemen are allowed to drive.
A further change has now been made so that in the event of Insufficient probationary drivers being available, horses may be driven by persons holding licences to drive at matinee and trial meetings only. Only If there are still insufficient drivers can open horsemen compete.
