Arthur Yates Sales Up
Arthur Yates and Company, Ltd, Auckland plant, seed and fertiliser merchant, edged up gross sales by $31,000, or 1.6 per cent, to $1,911,000 in the half-year to May 31, and profit also exceeded that of the corresponding period of 1967. The directors aay they feel that during the second half of 1968 a profitable level of sales can be maintained. Interim dividend Is repeated at 3 per cant and is payable on September 6. The shares were ax dividend on Monday. Last year the company paid a final of 5 per cent, making 8 per cent for the year. Business Personal Mr R. Garner has been appointed manager of Tlsdalls Sports Centre, Christchurch. He joined W. T. Ttsdall, Ltd, in 1950 and for some years was manager of the company’s Palmerston North Branch.
