OBITUARY Mr H. Morton
••The Press” Special Service INVERCARGILL. Mr Harry Morton, who died at Riverton during the week aged 72, was one of the old school of Southland trainers.
A veteran of World War I, he farmed in the Winton district for some years, before retiring to Riverton. While at Winton he took an active part in the Birchwood Hunt and was also adept in the training of jumpers. Among the beet he prepared were Squatter, which won the Great Western Steeplechase, Ngahue and The Rector.
