Gardner Appeal Dismissed

WELLINGTON, Aug. 9.
The Court of Appeal today dismissed the appeal of Robert John Gardner against his conviction on 19 counts of false pretences in the Supreme Court at Auckland on May 14. He had appealed on the ground that the jury’s verdict was unreasonable and could not be supported on the evidence.
