GOVERNMENT OF TONGA AUDITOR APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED for the position of Government Auditor for the Government of Tonga. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should be professionally qualified and preferably with experience in overseas countries with developing economics. DUTIES: The Audit Department is responsible for auditing of Government Department accounts, together with those of the Tonga Electric Power Board and Tonga Produce Board. The Government Auditor is in control of a staff consisting of a chief clerk and 10 other clerks. SALARY: Between 5T3450 and 5T4625 depending on qualifications and experience. A gratuity of 20 per cent of total salary is payable at the end of the contractual period. CONDITIONS OF SERVICE: Overseas Service Aid Scheme terms are applicable to Tonga with tours of service of three years duration. Leave earning is at the rate of three days per month of residential service. ACCOMMODATION: Government houses containing basic furniture will be provided at a normal rental of 7 per cent of basic salary. Unmarried officers can be accommodated in bachelor bed-sitting room quarters with meals available in a bachelor mess.
