(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The gate receipts for today’s France v. New Zealand third Rugby test were a record $114,000, the New Zealand Rugby Union council was told yesterday. The previous biggest gate, also at Eden Park, was $82,000.
The early calculation of the takings was possible because of the pre-selling, for the first time, of ail 55,000 seats.
