American Land Purchase
Sir, —To those correspondents who have no objection to America's buying hundreds of acres of our land, the burning question is, that profits from the purchased land will go to America. Tourist resorts set up by the Americans would attract endless tourists and much money. Why cannot our Government think up such profitable schemes? Our national coffers are beginning to ring hollow and empty; we soon will not have a national income.—Yours, etc., WHITHER BOUND? August 8, 1968.
